Jeanene Winston
Apprentice Pilates Teacher
Jeanene was a professional dancer in NYC for many years, and she taught as a professor of modern dance at San Jose State University in California for 5 years before retiring from dance to spend more time with her husband and two children. Their family relocated to Knoxville in 2021, and she joined the cohort of teacher training at our studio this spring.
Jeanene discovered Pilates while cross training for her professional dance career. This practice has helped her maintain strength to support her mobility and recover from various injuries. She is pursing Pilates certification to continue sharing her love of movement with others. She believes that Pilates is for every body, enjoys working with everyone, and she loves seeing physical connections being made and built upon. Jeanene's teaching presence is nurturing, grounded, and fluid- we know you'll love working with her!
